Yesterday I visited a Schlagerparty in Lucerne. They played music in all german dialects. In this context I realized how manyfold this language is. Impressively I did not understand what this guy below was singing about, even I was living in his city for 15 years. I just remembered that he was fighting against child soldiers in Africa. From the view of neuroscience and artificial intelligence language is an executive function but in the hierarchy behind intention detection (p. 453, 458). Intention can be clustered statistically in value systems of people and groups. A very simple one is here. The human ability to group people according to their intentions is called “Menschenkenntnis”. To accomplish their values people have traits. There are several methods to profile them, for example that one. They tend to exaggerate or downplay their abilities, especially if it is difficult to prove them, like soft skills. Additionally they can over- or underreact to information or events due to several reasons of internal computations. In all this, they are influenced by their peers and the culture of their employer, where they spend most time. Virtual assistants will keep track and help to navigate the way through this jungle, and improve self- and environment asessment. And of course they will position themselves according to the value systems or beliefs of their manufacturers or their customers.
